Amber brings an extensive career in accounting and financial controls to her role at the Carevest Group where she has served as our controller since 2011. She started her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Calgary and Saskatoon offices where she served financial institutions, public companies and other leading enterprises with their assurance and compliance needs. Her success in public practice opened up an opportunity in the offshore captive industry where she served as Assistant Vice President for one of the world’s leading captive insurance managers headquartered in the Cayman Islands.

Amber’s extensive professional experience is matched by her education. Amber holds a Masters of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and holds the CPA, CA professional accounting designation. Amber has also completed the Canadian Securities Course.

Outside of her professional career, Amber loves travelling, the outdoors, skiing and running. For many of these activities she is joined by her two sons, when they are not busy with their own sports.
